Pupils choose to make charity donations instead of buying flowers for their teachers.
Help instead of flowers: a charity event from gymnasium № 1 (Volkovysk, Belarus)
The class teacher of 8 “B” class, Klak Irina Bogdanovna, suggested pupils and their parents to celebrate the occasion (ending of the school year) with the aid of a good and useful thing: instead of spending money for flowers and sweets, transfer them for children’s treatment (international charity organization UNIHELP).
It was possible to see a set of air balls and hand flags on the school assembly. And lettering — UNIHELP.
This day children were supported also by their parents. The class teacher gave a special lesson called “The Person Is Able to Help” where children together with their class teacher discussed questions about charity, help and mercy.
Unihelp is committed to supporting medical institutions in Belarus: in 2018 we continued to equip rehabilitation centres with Tomatis® devices (to be used in the development of motor, emotional and cognitive abilities).
International charity organization UNIHELP has recently opened an office in Warnemünde.
The International Day of Charity was established with the objective of sensitizing and mobilizing people, NGOs, and stakeholders all around the world to to help others through volunteer and philanthropic activities.
