Cerebral Palsy is considered a neurological disorder caused by a non-progressive brain injury or malformation that occurs while the child’s brain is under development. Symptoms include movement and coordination problems, intellectual disabilities, seizures, problems with vision and speaking.

Right after the discharge from the maternity hospital Natalia, Roma’s mother, began to suspect that something went wrong with her son. But doctors said: “If the child cries, it only means that he gets tired”. Soon Natalia’s worst fears were confirmed. Roma was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

All that Roma’s father left him was a musical talent. And when Natalia is bogged down with household chores, she puts a singing toy near her son. Roma sings along. It’s the only way to gain some time to do something.

Now, the boy is already 2.6 years old, but Natalia has no other choice but to carry him in arms every time they need to go to a hospital. The family cannot afford a special wheelchair.
